Welcome to Orkney Faerie Museum and Gallery
Based in Westray, one of the Northern Isles of Orkney, off the coast of North Scotland, the museum is believed to be the only one of its kind in the UK. Featuring the art of international artist Neil Geddes-Ward, co-author of the Hay House UK book Faeriecraft, the museum taps into the Orcadian legends and tales of Faeries, Wee Folk, Trows, Mermaids and many more strange and interesting creatures that have played a part in the folk legends of Orkney and Scotland.

In the Museum we have 3-D sculptures like this fantastic one-of-a-kind Mermaid, generously donated to the museum by Wee Fairy Tales
Also the Museum features many paintings and drawings of Orcadian Faerie Legends by Neil Geddes-Ward, like the Selkie above.
The museum is based in a converted old croft house in Skelwick, Westray, (known as 'Queen of the Isles'). In the museum and gallery, you can read all about faeries, and their various forms they take such as Brownies, Trows, Sylphs, Mermaids and of course Selkies. Featuring artwork by Neil Geddes-Ward, and one of a kind sculptures by 'Wee Fairy Tales' artist Shirley Ann Mackillop, the displays appeal to adult and children alike.
